1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HeyPartner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HeyPartner is a reflection and goal clarity tool that provides daily questions to help you think through your projects and goals. The Service includes:

Socratic questioning system
Synthesis of your responses
Email notifications
Project management features

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Be at least 18 years of age
Accept our Privacy Policy

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Tier:

1 project
Unlimited questions with thoughtful pacing
3 synthesis previews (first full, second 50% visible, third locked)

Premium Tier ($19.99/month):

Unlimited projects
Full access to all syntheses
All future features

Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to:

Store and process your responses
Generate syntheses based on your input
Send you email notifications related to your projects

We do not share your content with third parties except as required to provide the Service or as required by law.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Use automated systems to access the Service
Share your account with others

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and AI-generated syntheses, is owned by HeyPartner and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
Defects will be corrected
The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeyPartner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Canada.
